Topics are now compressed - it reduced TheIDE size, even with its small included help, by 256KB.
To convert existing topics, either touch them (Topic++ will always save using new compressed format) or if you have a lot of them, compile TheIDE in debug mode and convert them group by group - set the first topic in the group and invoke "hidden" Compress function from the file men (it just goes through the list, touching&saving files).
You most likely do not have latest sources from uvs2. Compressed topics are not yet in dev version.
To compile eyecare, you do not need new ide, but sources (you need the ide to edit that topic++).
Actually, good to know that - I am afraid you we should rather use 605 than latest dev version for article. Simply remove that topic and redo it - should work OK.

Compiling was not a problem for me. (in c++, I can use comments )
But I wanted to see that compressed topic...
