Hello Sergey
Both are very unpleasant.
It is curious that in the second case they say:
Quote: | It was decided ... to change the name of the UNL Consortium into U++ Consortium in order to avoid name or brand conflicts with other institutions that already use this acronym
|
I think that it is impossible to have an acronym so unique that no company or organization in the world uses it. I know cases of it for very big companies with thousands of workers.
For example, there are two companies with Gamesa name:
- Wind Mill manufacturer, staff 7200, http://www.gamesacorp.com/en
- Cookies manufacturer, http://www.gamesa.com
Best regards
Koldo
Best regards
