Hello,
I have encountered several such situations. After a compiling error, contents in my iml file are all gone, and don't see a way to recover. Compiling errors are pointing to iml. So I am not sure whether empty iml file caused compiling failure, or other compiling errors caused erasing iml file contents.
BTW, what is left in the iml file is this text: PREMULTIPLIED.
Did any one see similar situations?
Thanks!

Ok, I figured out what happened. I could have avoided it, but the icon designer erasing iml contents is still too surprising.
Here is what happened:
I inserted an image from a file, named started with a digit not a letter. Then I got compiling error when I tried to compile. I checked my iml file from outside, it looks ok, intact. I then opened icon designer, the contents are gone.
If I rename the imported image by a legal C++ variable name, then everything works fine.
