After the very bad news from Nokia, this seems to be a very promising option and coming soon:

The base system will be a Debian based Linux distro with X and GTK.
You will be able to create your apps in C/C++.

A PDF intro and a blog entry.

this looks quite promising, but after closer inspection of that pic I would say there's too much of blue... Wink

BTW, not sure why, but clicking on the pic in post does not work, had to separate the url by hand from the redirecting one, then it works.
(probably bug in UPP forum's redirector)

What interests me much more is the EFL stack in parallel of the GTK one. I really hope the EFL will eventually have some glorious days, they are worth it.
