the issue can be resolved by forcing the switch orientation to vertical, by adding the line
	type.SetVertical();
in the file "ide/LayDes/visgen.cpp", at line 165.

However, it is strange anyway... I have changed the layout a bit, perhaps this will fix the issue as well.
