Hello,
here is a very simple chess board with all its pieces. There are no widgets around but only images. The pieces can move without rules. The moves are done by drag and drop but the piece image does not follow the mouse movement.
In future it would be nice to attach some code that check the validity of the moves and save them in pgn format.
