I've made a change on package building system and to linux installer; from now (if Mirek agrees) we'll have 3 different debian packages :
1 - upp packages, named as before, for stable releases
2 - upp-dev package, for devel (beta, unstables..) releases
3 - upp-svn for svn daily builds
Linux installer now checks for package type and propose a different user install path for each of them :
~/upp for stable packages
~/upp-dev for dev packages
~/upp-svn for svn packages
The install path should be seen as a suggestion, it can be changed (personally I use ~/sources/upp and so on).
The installer now remembers selected install path so can update on newer releases even if different from default folder.
Executable names of TheIDE are also kept different, so :
theide for stable packages (as usual)
theide-dev for devel packages
theide-svn for svn builds
All that stuff will allow co-existence of 3 different releases of Upp for testing purposes.
We can keep a stable release installed and test, install, update or remove devel and svn packages without hassles with the stable one.
NOTE : If you have installed previous SVN .deb, please remove it before ugrading. That would not be necessary anymore on following upgrades.
