I think it might not be a bad idea to extend dependencies adding some more dev libraries, e.g. for OpenGL, MySQL etc... (those that are in Ubuntu repositories).

Let us make OpenGL examples work out-of-box Smile

Is there a way to ask the user for what he wants before installing the package with selected dependencies?

I think this is a better approach, if this is supported by the packaging system, because you do not want to install unnecessary packages. At least that preference Wink
