I need suggestion about U++ web framework name(s).

I think we had some nice names in recent past, like BLITZ or Rainbow or Chameleon. But I have not found anything nice for web framework (better than "W++").

Also, I need an extension for html templates (so far, I considered .whtml, .uhtml or .uhtm, but I do not like any of them). And perhaps, the name of template language / system...

As there are Blitz and Rainbow, how about Cloud? After all, overloading terms is not something totally unheard of in C++. Maybe it would make sense to have Cloud-GUI and Cloud-Core (the latter for network-related functionality in general, like protocols etc.).

I have to admit, though, that I find it a bit distracting to have all these names like Blitz, Rainbow or Chameleon. There should at least be a "U++ technologies with fancy names" overview page that tells on one screen what these terms mean.

Blitz ==> very fast
Rainbow ==> beautiful and with gold at the end ..

Cumulus ==> all I can think of is a mean black storm cloud: not very positive so how about : Cirrus, those clouds high in the sky announcing good weather ..

Forget the cloud, it become a terribly mis- and overused buzzword lately... Evil or Very Mad

But the discussion about clouds and sky gave me an idea. What about Skylark? It's lean and mean bird, just as the framework will surely be Smile

Me too if it isn't already taken Smile

Otherwise, framtastic could be a "different" one Smile

As I'm in a creative mood, I propose also webstein Smile
webwiz or webwitz (even if on the second one, in German witz is "joke"...)

Where is is the "web" part in tornado? Smile

OK, so far "witz" and "skylark" sound the most promising.

Perhaps 'witz' for framework and 'skylark' for template language (which indeed is really lean and pretty mean).

But there already is one 'w' in 'witz'.

Perhaps we can even make it an acronym. "Web Interactive Technology Zone" or something like that Wink

By reading about that Anansi I found a word which appealed me by sound, kwaku .. so I did search what it is and http://www.behindthename.com/name/kwaku
- kwaku = Means "born on Wednesday" in Akan. Laughing

About other suggestions:

skylark was somewhat difficult for me to read at first correctly, but I have to admit I start to feel good about it. How about file extension then? .skyl ?

witz is funny for me (I understand a bit German). Can be "Web Interface, Templates, Z?? Zest? Zone? Zooty?" Very Happy

My suggestions for W++... nothing fancy, maybe pAgeNT (page agent).
