... or at least grab from environment colors...

using Fedora Core 5, Gnome...

reason: writing code in dark nights very often, and it's quite eyes disturbing, even if I change reverse colors in editor, TheIDE colors stays the same white Smile

You mean color of toolbar, dialogs etc?

Well, this is currently focus of U++ development (chameleon).

However, even current version should be able to read colors from KDE.... (does not need KDE to be active, if you are using Fedora/Gnome, just switch to KDE for a moment, adjust colors and switch back to Gnome - KDE color scheme is written in your home dir.)

BTW, if you would like to help, there is a great oportunity here - you can help us by investigating GTK theming system - how to read as much of required information as possible - includes colors, fonts and possibly even GUI style.
