One already released tool (that would deserve much more attention btw) is Tom's 'uldar' - reimplementation of 'ld' linker from the scratch - the main advantage is that it is 5-10 times faster - quite important difference between liking for 10 seconds or two minutes.

Then there is 'uvs2', but maybe that one is just one of "U++" specifics...

I was thinking about adding something like "adie" to examples.
