With upcoming release, I have (finally...) added automated compile test of bazaar main packages.

These test compile bazaar packages in Linux with clang, in C++98 and C++11 modes.

More than 50% of all bazaar packages fail this test... (list follows at the end of the post).

Now I have started fixing it and fixed a couple of them. However, at this point, I have a strong feeling that some of packages are obsolete or abandoned.

Would it be possible to find out what is worth fixing? What bazaar packages do you use?

The packages I maintain have never been tested with clang. Please let me a couple of weeks to install clang and solve the problem.

Hello Mirek,

I am the author of RSS and its example package.
If no one is actively using the RSS and RSS example, you can safely remove it.
It is obsolete, and was rudimentary anyway...
I already wrote a full-fledged replacement (with RSS/ATOM/RDF + modules) which compiles with GCC/latest U++ packages, and will upload it to bazaar once I do some cleanup.

bazaar/ChromiumBrowserExample - needs external libraries (CEF3), so it won't compile OOTB.

what is the problem with UnitTest++?
Just curious, I have been using it with GCC lately without any issue...
(maybe I will try the clang too, when I will have some spare time :/ )

The package had main config, so it was detected as "something to be build as main package", which has failed (missing main).

Already fixed.

It is quite common problem, but easy to fix.

- Packages only for Windows
Solution: #ifdef _WIN32

- Packages that use another library. Example: OpenCV
Solution: ¿?

Well, I have "exclude" list too, so I can put these there.

List would be helpful though...

In case of OpenCV it is not instant to install it in Linux, so it would be better to put it in the "exclude" list.

mhhhh... I see that some of my packages give errors. Weird, I'm using many of them in my apps.
I'll check all of them to see what happens.
Can be a clang-related problem ? I don't use clang at all.

p.s.: I don't receive any notificatin from forum.... I noticed it only on these days, and I've probably missed some questions in past. Can't you fix it ? It's quite annoying to have to rescan the whole forum to see posts answers

Hello Massimo and Novo,

I know lack of notification can be a problem, but I found partially solution how to get around of it. I just use RSS for whole forum, but you can use RSS for single thread or group.

I integrated all my e-mail accounts and RSS chanells into Thunderbird - so when I check my mailbox I have got also feedback from RSS.
