Hi,
I was using Arduino IDE for a while, which uses some kind of remote repository which in functionality is quite similar to UppHub.
As a nice addition it has the ability to support more "upphub URLs" at once; they're listed into IDE and they're used along the hard coded one; each URL points to a JSON file describing a set of packages.
I guess it would be quite easy to add it in UPP IDE too, so we could have "private upphubs" along the public one, which could be useful for testing, for example, and could distribute the maintaining of unstable packages.
