I’ve put together DirLister, a small native Windows application built with U++.
It’s a specialised tool for those times when you need to understand a directory structure, find a very specific selection of files or folders, or produce a listing for someone else.
You can export listings as plain text, a hierarchical tree, CSV or JSON, with control over depth, sorting and displayed details.
The filtering uses a stack of processes: wildcard patterns, contains/doesn’t contain, size ranges, modified dates, and limits on matching folders per parent. For example, you can explore a large shot archive while showing just three BB_* folders under each parent.
There’s also a separate rename stack with search and replace, case changes, prefixes, numbering and other operations. Steps run in order, with a preview before applying changes. The filtered selection can also be copied to another location.
It won’t be something everyone needs, but hopefully it’s useful for people working with large or repetitive directory structures. Feedback and practical use cases are welcome.

(Note, this is using the new UI[Controls] for better theming and styling.)
