What do you mean by experience?
We used Dosadi's eztwain in a few apps (find it here: http://www.dosadi.com/pub/eztw1.zip includes source code) and for a more demanding application we purchased a control from http://www.pegasusimaging.com
They both served their purpose and are still working great.
Usually people are asking for the following:
1) Grab a photo of my customer/employee and store it in the database or print it on his membership card
2) Scan a document using a simple scanner and save it as tif or jpg,png sometimes using encryption
3) Scan multiple documents using ADF scanner modules and save it either as tif or multiple jpegs.
