Yes, it works with some (minor) modifications.
Actually, the new default compiler for Solaris 11.4 is gcc-7.3, and all the related GTK libs are either already pre-installed or easily available, using the Solaris pkg tool.
The only 2 compile errors are easy to fix in the code , but the linker causes more problems and seems to be not really compatible with Linux.
