Hello Upp-World,
I'm new to C++ and Upp but love Core, TheIde and most gimmicks I get to know so far. I love the approach of getting things done. Whetting your appetite absolutely whetted Wink
{
First of all, I have to say that I am not a native English speaker. I believe that my reading comprehension is relatively strong, but technical language--whether in programming or in other fields where I'm new (and thus encounter unfamiliar terminology)--can make learning the subject somewhat more challenging.

I have developed a certain fondness for Perl because of the idea "Make easy things easy and hard things possible." After spending a few years with Perl, I have been getting to know C++ again since the end of 2024. Since the last time I looked at it (about 20 years ago), a lot has changed, both in the language itself and in my overall understanding of computers.

In my search for a GUI framework, I ended up sticking with Upp because (Upp offers more than just a GUI toolkit) it excites me in a similar way that Perl once did ("Make easy things easy and hard things possible"), but with the power of C and an integrated IDE--which, by the way, I find delightfully self-praising with its name (">The< IDE")!

I think Upp will, given that I am relatively new to C++, end up breaking any compatibility I might have had with the standard library... but since I'm not programming professionally, who cares?

My current challenges therefore not only revolve around Upp-specific problems but also include "new to C++" issues, with the added hurdle of not being a native English speaker.

I hope you all will bear with me, and I look forward to a pleasant and long journey together.

All translated by ChatGPT and reviewed by me. It seems (to me) that nothing here sounds too strange, but due to my lack of native proficiency, it is often hard to tell if I'm using impolite or incorrect wording.

If anything ever sounds impolite, please understand that it is due to my language limitations, not my character.
}

Because of that
I'd like to make some own notices with QTF (src, srcdoc) but want to keep them among Updates. What is the intended way to do so?

Do not worry too much about that. Above is the case for significant part of community (me included). As long as it is possible to understand what you mean, you are fine.
