There is no libstdc++6-dev in Debian.
Only libstdc++6 and libstdc++6-4.1-dev, libstdc++6-4.2-dev, libstdc++6-4.3-dev

PS:
Now, I'm not sure if libstdc++6-dev should exist as alias in the repository. Debian gcc maintainer to blame?

libstdc++6-dev was the problem I've meet when testing Upp on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Alpha 1). Seems our deb packages have this in dependencies and new Ubuntu doesn't include it(and guess it also don't have such an alias), package manager bother about it (I cannot provide exact error, because I'm back to 8.04). U 8.10 will merge some packages from Debian, so i believe this is the reason why my deb package work in U 8.04 and don't work in U 8.10.

Hello! I just moved to Debian Lenny and I want to keep learning and using Ultimate++.

Have anyone solved the above problem? I installed build-essential and everything is fine, but try to install the upp deb file it will not because of the libstdc++6-dev dependency problem.

Thanks
