Hello folks

I've just installed the new upp-win32-1579.exe. While installation I've checked both the VC7 and also MinGW (which I cannot find at "C:"). Now I cannot compile the most examples, nor my own projects, I always get this dialogue only:

http://members.aon.at/amando1957/c++_forum/exception.jpg

Here and then I get "Cannot initialize Application" instead or alike.
One of the samples I got running only, the http-console.

My auto-setup-dialogue looks like this:

The VC7 runs seamless otherwise, as long I log in as admin. If I try to debug as a user, I get the dialogue "You don't have the right to debug" etc. only, as soon I press the F7, though I've tuned that at the control panel. Maybe that's related.
But now I've tried as admin also, with the same result.

What can I do now to get that running?
Do I need to switch to 2008.1 again, in order to use MinGW?

kind greets
Martin

The recent installers are without mingw, so you need either to take the one from 2008.1, or search forum for recent gcc4.4 posts, there were also some links for recent mingw.

@koldo: your picture is not PNG, it's 800+kB big BMP. Smile

Amando. You can get one MinGW 4.4.0 from our Sourceforge page in http://sourceforge.net/projects/upp/files/upp/1517/mingw_4_4 _0.7z/download

hi folks

have found out the most in the meantime. but installing the MinGW yourself requires a readme of 16 hints:
http://netbeans.org/community/releases/67/cpp-setup-instruct ions.html#mingw
(oofff...)

I have Win2k now with 2008.1 and Win 7 at a second disk with the current version, and it's running fine in general.

thanks for your effort.
