InfoCtrl x; //somewhere declared

Whenever I put this in my constructor

AddFrame(x);

I get the statusbar on the side of my window (like a sidebar)
and not at the bottom where I want them.

BTW thanks a lot for all of your help. The answers are prompt
and do solve my problems. My application is coming along nicely.

You should use a StatusBar object instead of an InfoCtrl.

The HelloWorld example demonstrates how to add a StatusBar.

There's an interesting post in the Forum. See Home » Code snippets library and applications » U++ code snippets » add StatusBar fields.

Hope this helps.
