Clang on Windows with U++? [message #47112] Fri, 09 December 2016 08:20

Hi,

Every now and then I wonder if Clang could be used as the compiler on Windows with U++. I have downloaded:

http://llvm.org/releases/3.9.0/LLVM-3.9.0-win64.exe

and tried to get it to work with U++ without success.

Strangely, Clang comes with some level of Visual Studio integration and a drop-in replacement for CL. Lately Microsoft has put some effort to Clang on VS too:

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/vcblog/2016/03/31/clang-wit h-microsoft-codegen-march-2016-released/

Now the question: Has anybody had any success with U++ and Clang on Windows? If you have, can you give a hint how this can be made to work?

Best regards,

Tom
