Hello There,

Today I want to share you a problem I got on my new computer Very Happy .
Since I tried U++ I fell love with it. So when I got my new computer,
after a few windows update, I decided to download the last U++ build (upp-mingw-12176.7z).
Then just to try my new Processor (Ryzen 7 2700X) I decided to compile a random package Very Happy .
And Here came the nightmare : after 0,06 sec of compilation "there were errors" and nothing else.
Do you guys got any idea of how can i fix it ?

thank you in advance.

Have a good day.

Hello,

Welcome on our forum! Can you attach the full screen of TheIDE not only the compilation output. I think your error might be related to lack of toolchain. Are you sure you downloaded upp-mingw-x instead of upp-win. Also, please let me know that you can compile exemplary packages such as "example/Clock".

BTW, three weeks ago I just bought the same CPU and it works like a charm with U++ Smile However, I am using it on Linux and TheIDE compiles in less than two minutes (Release mode).

Sincerely,
Klugier

Hello Klugier,

Thanks for you quick reply !

Here is some screen of both upp I tried(through it could be a problem of version but no it's not)
I also join a screen of TheIDE Trying to compile "Example/Clock". The problem is the same, after ChGtk.cpp
Compilation stop with "There were errors".

I also try to install some other Ide like codeBlock using there ".msi"
but it didnt fix the problem it seems like mingw is not working properly (32 or 64 bits).

thank you in advance.

Have a good day !

Hello,

You could try to unpack your installation one more time, but with more friendly path like "C:/Prototable/upp". I do not like the UTF-8 characters in path. Generally, the simplest path on Windows the better Smile

Please let me know if it works for you.

Sincerely,
Klugier
