The last thing to implement is "apple-style" application menu. I have it almost done, except one little issue, which is summarized here:

(while it is nice to know this is probably Apple's bug, we still need a workaround...)

So I am bringing it here in hope that somebody perhaps picks this up and finds solution...

Found it! Binary has to be in Contents/MacOS - then all works as expected. In practice, this means that GUI builds will have to create application bundle to fix the problem, but I have planned that anyway...
