Tonite, I sat down to browse about how to implement trayicon for linux.

What I have found is that there is a standard for linux and trayicon is controlled through XEmbed protocol ( or in simple term by calling XInternAtom)

Below is the standard :
http://standards.freedesktop.org/systemtray-spec/systemtray- spec-0.2.html

I have read the standard and found that it is tedious but not difficult to implement the standard. However, to hard code them into U++, I have to study how U++ implement TrayIcon for win32.

I am wondering if there are any good guys have written codes to implement trayicon for linux into U++ or have decided to do so, please let me know. I am more than happy to adopt yours.

Also, suggestions and advices are welcome.

Many thanks.
