Debugging long Strings [message #50486] Fri, 09 November 2018 08:11 Go to next message

Hello all

Now I find difficult to debug long Strings. For example, full paths.
Currently the Strings are trimmed, so AFAIK the only way to debug is to LOG them.

Would it be possible to debug long Strings or, at least, to Copy them (Ctrl-C) to Notepad to analyse them?

Thank you.

Best regards
Iñaki

Hello,

I just created appropriate patch for GDB debugger backend. Below is the screenshot presenting new feature - now you can copy any string value from debugger tree to clipboard:
index.php?t=getfile&id=5697&private=0

Please test, but remember it doesn't work with MSVC compiler.

Sincerely,
Klugier

Excellent, it works!

Could it be transfered to MSVC? Rolling Eyes

Best regards
