LineEdit - NoHorzScrollbar How to get wraparound? [message #51190] Tue, 19 February 2019 11:52 Go to next message

I have a LineEdit and I want no horizontal scrollbar. (So I disabled it.)
It does no wraparound when I type or paste lines that are longer than the field.
It accepts longer lines, but the rest of the line exceeding the field width is invisible.

I am not sure if this is a bug or the intended behaviour.

What I need is wraparound on a character basis.
If wrap occurs, the characters typed should be visible on the next line.
What is the best way to achieve this?

Use DocEdit instead of LineEdit.
it has no horizontal scrollbar, and it wraps text at end of line.
