After valid criticism of shortcomings of current .iml scheme for dark mode support, I have completely overhauled this. There is a new document that details current status:

Basically what is new is flags for fixing size/colors and possibility to provide overrides for images for specific GUI mode, both in the base .iml and in separate .iml files.
In related news, I have changed dark mode handling scheme in theide syntax highlighting:
- I have changed the scheme itself to something less "shiny"
- Theide now knows when it is using the default scheme and in that case switches dark / light hightlighting accordingly
