Where can I find Visual Studio Build Tools 2017? [message #51731] Tue, 07 May 2019 16:39 Go to next message

Hi,

Where can I find Visual Studio Build Tools 2017? I need it for U++ TheIDE 11960 on another computer, and it seems to me that MS only offers BT2019 now. Installing BT2019 with v141 toolset included does not seem to work since it is not recognized by TheIDE 11960 build methods setup.

Any suggestions how to proceed? (I think MinGW is not an option since I have to link to external libraries created with MS compilers/tools.)

Best regards,

Tom

Hi again!

Solved: I just had to install Visual Studio 2019 Build Tools and include 2017 tools therein. Then I tweaked the .bm files to point there instead of the normal location.

My MSBT17.bm file using this approach can be found attached.

Best regards,

Tom
