upp_git installation issue [message #56794]

Respected sir
having problem in installing upp_git on lubuntu 16.04 os
i tried to run make command but it resulted in the error shown in screen shot
please suggest me how to correct it.

Hello Varu,

It seems that you have old GDK library installed on your system. From the library reference GDK_AXIS_ROTATION is available from version 3.22. Could you update Lubuntu to version 20.4 and see if it works there. 16.4 seems very old. Alternativly, you could try some older upp releases that are appropriate for your operating system from SourceForge.

GTK version of 16.04 is 3.18.i tried upgrading it to 3.22 but was unsuccessful
Hence was forced to use xubuntu 20.4 in which u++ was working and also
older version of u++ is working in 16.04.

Hi, this actually looks like pretty recent bug in U++, or sort of. This is a result of adding pen support like 1 month ago, it looks like there is missing #if for conditional compilation on older gtk.

Thanks for reporting. I am pretty sure that "major" release (not nightly) should compile without problems...
