Attached is a patch to improve the 'enclosing' ability of the TheIDE.

With the attached patch, when a block of code is selected and the user hits '/', then the block of code is commented-out by prefixing each selected line with '//'.

If the same block is highlighted and '/' is hit again, then the block is uncommented.

Similarly, if the user hits '*', selected code will be commented out using /* ... */ and hitting '*' again will uncomment.

Nice patch! However I got used to enclosing with /* */ after pressing / Wink Maybe that could be configurable.
