I am new to UPP but have been coding the prototype for what is a fairly ambitious project. I have just found out that I will get some support for this project and there is a good chance that one version (the majority) of the code will eventually be released as opensource. I am really enjoying using UPP so far and love being able to see all the UPP SRC code I am using. My question is "is there a roadmap for UPP and what are your eventual plans?" as this project of mine may take several years and involve many other parties. Hopefully, at some point I will be able to give something back to UPP but for now I'm just wondering how wise I am being in putting all my eggs in the UPP basket.
Any thoughts welcome - especially input from senior members.
thanks for your interest!
In my oppinion and from what i have been talking to others:
Upp won't die
1. because Tom and Mirek need it (all of their commercial apps use it)
2. too many people already like it, use it, improve it and need it therefore, too
