Compilation error:
----- HomeBudget ( GUI MAIN MSC71 DEBUG DEBUG_FULL BLITZ WIN32 MSC ) (12 / 12)
HomeBudget.cpp
HomeBudget.rc
Error running process: The system cannot find the file specified.
Command: rc.exe /fo"d:/upp705dev3/out/HomeBudget/MSC71.Debug_full.Gui.Main\HomeBudget$rc.obj" /i"d:\upp705dev
	3\examples" /i"d:\upp705dev3\uppsrc" /i"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003\Include" /i"C:
	\Program Files\Microsoft Platform SDK\Include" "d:\upp705dev3\examples\HomeBudget\HomeBudget.rc"HomeBudge
	t: 1 file(s) built in (0:06.10), 6109 msecs / file, duration = 6141 msecs

There were errors. (1:36.70)

It is a fresh installation on WinXP Pro:
upp-mingw-705-dev3.exe

To compile without errors - from files list remove file (Alt+Delete):
HomeBudget.rc

This file is not properly handled by the compiler and seems it is not needed.
Maybe somebody could explain this?
I hope it helps somebody.

HomeBudget was to be run on win32 platform only. Later I decided to add it to the examples and forgot to solve "application icon" problem. Resource compiler is simply not available in linux environment. I will fix it ASAP.

PS: I remember that I had no problems with compiling HB on linux even if there was rc file in project. I'll check that too.

My platform is Windows XP Professional with free MSC71 compiler and looks like it lacks resource compiler too.

I thought it was part of vctoolkit2003... Mingw should have rc compiler too. Try to use it. Otherwise just remove that rc from project.

I'm not sure (don't remember exactly), but I think, the solution to fix MSC71 was installing cvtres.exe from here:
