If I use:

#define IMAGEFILE <myapp/myapp.iml>
#define IMAGECLASS myapp
#include <Draw/iml.h>

in a .h file that I include in multiple .cpp files I get linker errors.

What would be the correct way to do it?

There is iml_header.h for headers and iml_source.h for .cpp. iml.h just combines them.
