Looks like theIde editor requires at least one opened tab. This behavior is hardcoded in TabBar, while TabCtrl has no such limitation. What is the logic behind this decision? If it's a bug, I can go ahead and try to fix it, anyway I'm choosing IDE for linux right now and going to try to do a bit of real work with upp.

Actually this is "default" behaviour we all are used to. But I think you're right - it would be better to have all tabs to be closeable. But let's wait what says the author. Mirek may have his own arguments.

U++ IDE may seem "oldish" from the first view. But it's very powerful and very effective for real purposes.
