Yes, you are right, the explanation is unclear.

I have changed the doc, adding that, in SetMinUnits(double ux, double uy), if either ux or uy is not visible, it ensures that values obtained adding or substracting SetMajorUnits() values will be visible.

This way you can change SetXYMin(), and SetMinUnits() will still be valid.
