Zbigniew asked me an interesting question: What is Q in QTF (TF obviously being "Text Format").

Now the correct answer is perhaps interesting but sort of irrelevant:

When what is now U++ started around 1998 and for some time later on, before we made it opensource, the internal name was "Qlib" (because you have to have some name, right?). So it meant something like Qlib Text Format. Qlib name is long gone, but Q is still there. BTW, the same reason why default config file is q.ini.

The real answer is whatever we want it to be. What about

Quixotic Text Format?

That sounds about right, doesn't it? Smile
