Linking error with gdk_pixbuf-2.0 [message #34079]

Hello

I get the following error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0
and the library is located here: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so

The path to the library was added to the build method and i can't find any solution for this error so far.
