Redmine Feature #2160 (New): UppHub: Background job that will detect which packages has updateshttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/21602021-03-15T11:00:22ZZbigniew Rebacz

Right now there is no indication about outdated packages. Would be good to have some background job that verify it. Also, UI representation of outdated package is required.
Bug #2152 (Ready for QA): No MyApps assembly after fresh installation on Linuxhttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/21522021-03-10T20:59:07ZZbigniew Rebacz

Just make clean installation and check if MyApps assembly is present after installation inside TheIDE package manager window.
Bug #2126 (New): TheIDE doesn't compile from archive on Debian due to lack of "msse4.1" flag https://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/21262020-12-08T22:25:47ZZbigniew Rebacz

https://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=post&reply_to=55760x%x%
Task #2075 (New): reference/Oracle warnings MSVChttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/20752020-09-23T18:53:45ZZbigniew Rebacz

Here is the warning list while compiling reference/Oracle with MSVC:

C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\OraCommon.cpp (71): warning C4267: 'initializing': conversion from 'size_t' to 'int', possible loss of data
C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\OraCommon.cpp (99): warning C4244: 'argument': conversion from '__int64' to 'int', possible loss of data
C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\Oci8.cpp (1201): warning C4267: 'argument': conversion from 'size_t' to 'ub4', possible loss of data
C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\Oci8.cpp (1315): warning C4267: 'argument': conversion from 'size_t' to 'sb4', possible loss of data
C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\Oci8.cpp (1324): warning C4267: 'argument': conversion from 'size_t' to 'ub4', possible loss of data
C:\Prototable\upp\uppsrc\Oracle\Oci8.cpp (1325): warning C4267: 'argument': conversion from 'size_t' to 'ub4', possible loss of data

Task #2074 (New): macOS toolbar should support application name approchhttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/20742020-09-21T10:43:00ZZbigniew Rebacz

On the mac in global menu bar application name is displayed like "Chrome", "Finder". Only U++ application doesn't support such feature (TheIDE).

The main goal of this task is to add support (on the CtrlLib level). So instead of about in help, I would like to have "TheIDE" -> "About" on macOS.

Would be nice if it will be in 2020.2.
Feature #2068 (New): Core/Heap.h should be includablehttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/20682020-09-13T11:44:49ZZbigniew Rebacz

I have the situation when I would like to use IgnoreMemoryLeaksBlock in the 3P library, however I can not inclued simply Core/Heap.h. Instead of that I need to inclued Core/Core.h which is bad, because it cause issues with winsock library includ order.

So make it possible to include only Core/Heap.h. Would be nice if present in 2020.2.
Bug #1937 (New): TheIDE help doesn't disply related packagehttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/19372019-03-02T18:20:13ZZbigniew Rebacz

https://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&th=10584&goto=51277&#msg_51277
Task #1934 (New): Flatpack supporthttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/19342019-03-01T10:54:14ZZbigniew Rebacz

We should move towards flatpack support on GNU/Linux operating system like instead of investing our time to create packages for each distribution.

Optimally the upp package should be present on https://flathub.org/home
Feature #1894 (New): One should support custom deletershttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/18942018-07-27T08:19:28ZZbigniew Rebacz

One of the issue of One is that it doesn't support custom delectation of the object.n This functionality is inherit from std::unique_ptr.
Feature #1877 (New): Returning Tuple that contains Vector should be possiblehttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/18772018-05-08T14:11:42ZZbigniew Rebacz

https://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=49798&#msg_49798
Task #1840 (New): System notification should not be limited only to tray iconhttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/18402018-02-18T20:21:13ZZbigniew Rebacz

Application should be able to send system notification without the need of use TrayIcon class.

class TrayIcon {
void Info(const char *title, const char *text, int timeout = 10) { Message(1, title, text, timeout); }
void Warning(const char *title, const char *text, int timeout = 10) { Message(2, title, text, timeout); }
void Error(const char *title, const char *text, int timeout = 10) { Message(3, title, text, timeout); }
};

So, this can be moved to CtrlCore as a separate method class like:

class Notification final {
public:
Notification() = delete;
static Info(...) {...}
}

Feature #1825 (New): TheIDE should show the fulllist of currently setted breakpointshttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/18252017-12-24T18:07:20ZZbigniew Rebacz

Currently there is no option to list all currently set breakpoints.

In addition the menu should allow jump to certain breakpoint.
Bug #1784 (New): Switch control dose not work with tap even on GTK 2.0https://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/17842017-08-10T15:00:37ZZbigniew Rebacz

Topic: https://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=48636&#msg_48636
Related topic: https://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=48638&#msg_48638

The problem could be reproducible only on GTK backend, but it could be related to some wrong logic in switch. Alternatively, we could re-switch to GTK 3.0 and support OnTap event directly. However, it could require much more time and probably changes in other areas especially CtrlLib. Of course, it is good point to start development on touch support inside upp.
Task #1757 (New): CodeEditor should not use global state for highlighthttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/17572017-06-24T13:44:24ZZbigniew Rebacz

I strongly believe that this is not good idea to keep CodeEditor highlight settings as a global state (singleton like approach). It can leads to bugs for example somebody creates CodeEditor without loading previous highlight settings can lead to restart settings in the first code editor.

For the code security reasons we should have Highlight object associated with CodeEditor. Then each CodeEditor instance will be independent to each other.

More information - why I am thinking it is bad design could be find in following forum thread - http://www.ultimatepp.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=48332&#msg_48332.
Feature #1719 (Patch ready): Add STARTTLS support to SMTPhttps://www.ultimatepp.org/redmine/issues/17192017-05-12T20:41:47ZZbigniew Rebacz
