Hmmmmm... with which version of theide are you building that ?
It remembers me a problem occurred using an old stable release...
Check uppsrc/ide/ide.iml file if it's still there (i.e. not blanked). If it's wiped out, try to install ide from svn deb package first.
Or, if you prefere so, try the following :
1 - close ide.iml file in theide (if not, it gets opened on next ide run....)
2 - refetch svn
3 - rebuild, whithout opening 'ide.iml' file on older ide release.
On my case, the latest stable ide had problems loading new image files (.iml) wiping them out.
