You may consider this stupid or unworthy for true geeks. But in my opinion it would win some additional (emotional) sympathy to add a sort of "human" perspective to the (truly amazing) technological perspective offered by U++. IMHO, it does not need to be yet another mascot. In my view this can be done just by telling the story of how this software was developed where and by whom and perhaps adding two or three pictures and putting it on the web site. Just a thought...
