Actually it does not work on theide either. After selecting the main package there is e.g. Assist++ progress dialog which updates normally on windows but not on kubuntu 7.10.

I did some testing and noticed that changing the KDE System Settings / Appearance / GTK Styles from "Use my KDE style in GTK applications" to "Use another style: Raleigh" makes the progress bar to work again. Also the previously blank drop list buttons and scroll bar buttons become visible again. So, I think this is all about handling the situation when the GTK style is not recognized.

OK, looks like we have a new issue, because Kubuntu chameleon problems were reported by James too... Sad
