Not sure why I have not done this long time ago, but Stream now holds single additional attribute:
void SetVersion(int ver)
Sets the arbitrary number ver to the stream. Client code can use it in any way it needs, but it is designed to store the the version information during serialization.
int GetVersion() const
Reads the number set by SetVersion.
