EditString and custom msg on status bar [message #19900]

How to display custom message on status bar while user is editing ?

EditString ctrl
ctrl.Left...ht).HelpLine(cHelp) );

Tried Description, Tip, etc...none work. any1 knows how to do it ?

There is no implicit logic that would move "Tip" or any other to statusbar when EditField has focus.

OTOH, it should be quite simple - overload ChildGotFocus/ChildLostFocus, read the help from focused widget and push it to status line.
