Not sure if this is the correct forum or if this should be placed in the addon/request features, but I had an idea last night while patching the 2007.1 ebuild to include the upt files...

If we provided a simple exterior interface that could easily build the Makefile generator as a standalone console app, then the Makefile could be generated during a bootstrap process. This might require a separate makefile for this one "special" application. I have not looked deeply into the issue, but it was an idea I thought I would throw out.

OK: I have added "M" commandline option that should generate the makefile.
