use 7zip instead to gain better ratio.

Licenses (quote from the link above):

IMHO GNU LPGL is well suitable for installer?

Yes, I have already considered this option before, but never had enough time to realize.

BTW, it seems like it would cut it from 24MB (mingw) to 14. Worth considering, definitely.
