Not sure whether HeaderCtrl::Column::SetMargin is what you search for, but maybe yes...

Not sure whether HeaderCtrl::Column::SetMargin is what you search for, but maybe yes...

SetMargin repositions the text only while I'd like something like a MatrixCtrl... With spacing between rows and/or columns. Maybe to insert frames somewhere?...

That is not a typical situation... however, what about to use custom Display and remove both grid and use SetMargin(0)?
