link error with MINGW - - SOLVED [message #46359]

error: could not convert 'daa' from 'Upp::String' to 'std::__cxx11::string {aka std::__cxx11::basic_string<char>}'

This error when trying to compile with MINGW

I can compile this app with MSC15 without this link error.

apparently this is with c++ 11 but what is the difference between MINGW and MSC15 compiler?

this is with upp 9701 U++ for Windows with MinGW-w64 toolchain

Where do you get that error? In case it is your own code, could you post the code line that produce the error?

It seemed you have declared variable daa as a std::string instead of a Upp::String.

daa=FormatDouble(s,dp)+","+FormatDouble(aIn,dp)+","+FormatDouble(aFn,dp);

Right hand evaluates to a Upp::String, from provided error message, it's not what's causing the problem. So the error must be from the assignment to daa where a type mismatch occurred.

I would change daa's type to Upp::String.

changed String to string --- cap S to small s
