Hi,

Is it possible to debug application using the IDE which needs to be executed with root privileges?

It should work if you launch theIDE in sudo mode ?

Yes, it is possible. But you have to create new installation for the root user (setup assembly, packages, build, ...).

I guess that is the best approach. I am pretty sure that non-root debugger will not be able to debug root process...

Rather, I was thinking about sudo support - that is, option to running a debugger with sudo (confirm with a password if necessary, if required by the system). And kill the debug with sudo if necessary.
