MacOS M1/M2 chip can cross compile even for previous intel chip? [message #60129]

Hello,

I wonder if the new chip can compile U++ package for pre-2020 MacOS machine based on Intel chip.
Currently I compile on a 2012 machine but I am afraid I must dismiss it in favor of a more recent machine.
