I think that in Win32 you could try to play with SetStyle and SetExStyle and see what happens...
I know it is possible, but I am reluctant at the moment to add functionality I do not know how to reproduce in Linux (apart from my 200 entries ToDo list).

Never mind! This was just an idea and is not a crucial feature. The idea derives from the splash screen of FreeStone Group's "Magical Glass" (http://freestone-group.com/). I simply like it the splash and the program).
